Bart Eastwood, D.O.
Dr. Bart Eastwood earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He continued his education at Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Eastwood completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Ohio University. In addition, he completed fellowship training in sports medicine at Indiana University, Methodist Sports Medicine, where he worked with University of Indiana, Purdue University and the Indianapolis Colts.
Derek Buck, M.D., D.C.
Dr. Derek Buck joined Sideline Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as an Interventional and Spine Care Specialist. He studied general medicine at Ross University School of Medicine on the island of Roseau Dominica, which is located in the West Indies. His residency was in physical medicine and rehabilitation. In Richmond, Virginia, he completed his fellowship training in interventional spine.
Shan Fairbanks, D.O.
Dr. Shan Fairbanks earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Averett University. While there he played on the football team and was part of the Cougars first Conference Championship. He continued his education at Via College of Osteopathic Medicine Virginia Campus in Blacksburg, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fairbanks completed his intern year in general surgery at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York prior to finishing his residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.
Beth Ashe, PA-C
Beth Ashe joins Sideline Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as a physician assistant serving Wytheville, Virginia and surrounding communities. She graduated summa cum laude from the Physician Assistant Program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2002. Her special orthopedic interests include sports medicine, total joints, and fractures, which are areas she has practiced in for 12 years.
Mark Burch, PA-C
Mark Burch earned a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan and then attended the University of Charleston for the physician assistant program. He has been in general and sports orthopedics for 5 years now. When not helping patients at Sideline, he can be found hiking, enjoying the outdoors, and practicing Brazilian Jiu jitsu.
