Maybe you’ve seen Beth around our Sideline offices! Beth Ashe is one of our two Physician Assistant’s (PA’s) here at Sideline Orthopedics. Our team wouldn’t be the same without her! Today, we thought we’d introduce Beth and let you know a little bit more about our amazing PA!
Beth has been with the Sideline team since last October. She works at all three of our offices and loves seeing around 30 patients per day!
Working in Orthopedic care allows Beth to help her patients heal and get back to a higher quality-of-life. Her position as a PA allows her to see patients and provide excellent treatment plans.
Wondering what exactly being a physician’s assistant–or PA–means? PA’s go through six years of school and a year of clinicals to be able to practice medicine in many of the same ways that physicians do.
At Sideline, although Beth serves as an extension of our team of physicians she also practices on her own. Beth meets with patients, orders test, interprets x-rays and MRIs, and diagnoses patients. It’s likely that Beth–or any other PA–may see her patient from start to finish without ever needing a physician. You can also find her first-assisting in the Operating Room.
How would we describe Beth? Friendly, easy to talk to, and dependable. She is committed to the highest quality of care for her patients to recover completely. Her dedication makes her an invaluable part of our team.
When Beth isn’t at the office, you will likely find her outdoors. Some of her favorite activities include cycling and hiking. This local area gives her access to the amazing trails and endless mountain roads for cycling. She also enjoys spending time with her children, Brittany and Taylor, and her friends.
Here at Sideline, we love having Beth with us. Across our three locations, we serve the community from Blacksburg to Bluefield and Wytheville as well, including local high schools and college sports teams.
Sideline employs amazing surgeons, PA’s, and support staff that helps us lead to excellent outcomes for our patients.
At Sideline Orthopedics, our Physician Assistants are hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate individuals who are here to help you get back up and moving after an injury. So if next time you visit, you’re seen by a PA, don’t worry! You are in great, caring hands. You can trust that every member of our team is here to serve you, no matter their role.
